Amy Rose Girls Do Warwickshire ProudWarwickshire’s Amy Rose two rink team of Under 31 players faced stiff opposition against Norfolk in the first round of their National competition at Leamington but they were not daunted and went on to win by 10 shots, 30-20. Next up was Buckinghamshire but again the Warwickshire team showed their true spirit and finished with a resounding 40-19 win. This took them to the Quarter final but their opponents were to be the winners of last year’s competition, Devon, and the opposition was just too strong and although they put up a valiant fight they were not able to out bowl this team which eventually went on to win the Trophy.
But congratulations must go to Warwickshire’s youngsters, it looks like the future of our sport is in good hands.
